Where should I park?

Parking is conveniently located on the east side of Salem's building, near the carport entrance. There are 2 other parking lots to the east and south of our youth building. You may also park along 2nd Street SW, or in the lots owned by Novak's Auto, or King, Smith, & Boresi Law Offices...just south of the church building. Because we are experiencing wonderful growth at Salem, we suggest that you plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early in order to find a parking space.

What time do children's Sunday School classes meet?

Children's classes are held during the Heart Beat worship service from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. each Sunday. That way, you can worship as they learn. We also provide a secure and well-staffed nursery for infants and toddlers during both our 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

How will I know where to go?

Before each worship service, greeters will meet you as you come in the carport entrance. The greeters will be able to assist you, help you to feel comfortable, and answer your questions.

What can I expect during worship? How will I know what to do?

You will receive a program that contains the scripture lesson for the day, worship notes, and announcements. It is easy to read. The words to our praise songs at Heart Beat (8:15 a.m.) are projected on large screens at the front of the worship center. Heart Strings, our band, is made up of keyboards, guitars, drums, and vocalists. We are blessed with skilled and dedicated worship leaders to guide us in a meaningful worship experience. Rev. Linda teaches a timely biblical message that will be useful in everyday living. She uses short portions of movies to illustrate the main theme of her message.
At Celebration (9:45 a.m.), worship is held in our beautiful sanctuary with stained glass windows and comfortable padded pews. Bill Heald, our Director of Music, plays both organ and piano. The 30-voice choir, Salem Singers, provides inspiration and energy as we praise God together. Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of each month. All who attend are invited to participate in the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

Pulse Worship is a compact, uncomplicated worship at 11:10 a.m., held in our sanctuary. The worship will focus on our individual relationship with the Lord through prayer, preaching, and Holy Communion each week. Our music director will provide worship music using his acoustic guitar.

How can I meet people at Salem?

Before and after both worship services, the hospitality table is filled with beverages and goodies. It’s a good place to strike up a conversation.

Will I be singled out in any way?

No. You are our guest and we want to help you to feel as comfortable as possible. We wear nametags, so you can call us by name more easily. Everyone who attends is asked to fill out the Fellowship Communication slip that is included in the program. We’d like you to know more about us, so that we can send you our most recent newsletter.
You will be given a free CD to take home with you as our gift. It’s a real blessing to listen to on a busy day.
